laptop computer

When we bought our son a laptop computer this past Christmas, we didn't get him something with a build in webcam or any of the extras that you see on many computers these days. Instead, we got him a laptop computer that was practical and something that he could use for school research and for emailing his grandparents and cousins every now and then. They live several hours away so the laptop computer has been a great way for him to keep in touch, but recently he mentioned that he wouldn’t mind having a webcam. I actually suggested that he use my laptop computer when he wanted to have a video conference but he was less than thrilled about that idea because he said if I was using the laptop computer I wouldn't want him to use the webcam. Of course he's right about that idea, so I asked his dad what he thought about getting a webcam that he could use with the laptop computer, and that we could also use with the desktop pc as well.

He wasn't completely convinced that my son needed a cam for his laptop computer but he said he'd leave it up to me to make the decision. I also explained to him that our son wasn't the only one who could use it, that he could also use the webcam on the laptop computer to talk to his parents who live four hours away. I talked to him about how much his mother would love being able to look at her laptop computer screen and see that her son was staring back at her. He laughed, but he knew how true it was, especially since he only gets to see them twice a year at best.

I decided to go online and price webcams and see what I could come up with when I found 10/100 Mbps P/T IP Network Cam. Model - FCS-1010 that I found for a great price from Zunes Plus whose online store can be found by visiting www.zunesplus.com. The price was great and I knew that it could easily be switched from the laptop computer to the main computer in the house so I decided to order it. I didn't tell my son, because I figured that since he was the one who wanted it for his computer, and since I hadn't bought him an Easter gift as of yet, it would be the perfect combination, so he'll find it in his basket come Easter morning.
