laptop computer

For quite some time now, I've been using an old laptop computer of my husband’s to do my work on. He's offered more than one time to buy me a laptop computer, but I have hated to think about spending the money, so I've refrained. After all, even though it's old, his laptop computer works just fine, and I'm able to get everything accomplished that I want to get done. I will admit that in comparison to my husband’s laptop computer, it does run like a snail, but since I'm really only checking email, working, and visiting the occasional social networking site, I think the laptop computer serves its purpose, or at least it has been until now.

The laptop computer started making a horrible grinding noise yesterday. I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. I'd turned it on and was waiting for it to finish booting up, when I heard the noise. I was in the kitchen pouring myself a glass of water so that I could get started with work, but when I heard the noise, I panicked. I turned off the laptop computer, and let it sit for about ten minutes before I attempted to turn it on again. It did come on and without the noise, but I've been around computers long enough to know that when they start making that grinding noise, the hard drive is about to go. I connected an external drive to the laptop computer, and backed up everything to that. I didn't want to lose any of my work. Once I'd done that, I called my husband at work and told him what was going on, and he suggested that I order a new laptop computer immediately so that when the hard drive crashed, I wouldn't be without a computer.

We agreed on a price we'd pay for the laptop computer, and I went online to see if I could find one. It didn't take me long to find exactly what I was looking for, but I also found 7" drop down TV. My husband had been talking for some time about getting me a small TV for the kitchen, and since the price was right, I decided to order it as well. The computer and the new TV are on their way and I can't wait to start using both of them.
