My laptop computer is essential in finding the files I want to load onto my MP3 player and since it holds 2 gigs, there's plenty of space on it for lots of podcasts and music. Our public radio stations are really good and I love to listen to the talk shows they broadcast for new information and fresh perspectives on contemporary events. There are places on the Internet where there are tons of podcasts to download to my laptop computer and it's an easy way to stay in touch with places all over the country. It's fun to hear what's going on all over the country, and radio shows are a good way to do that. Half of my family lives in Minnesota and the other half in Arizona, and we send each other podcasts of local news stories that cover issues important to us. When they send us the links, I download them to my laptop computer and then to my MP3 player so when I go for a hike, I can listen. Time is a precious commodity and between the laptop computer and my MP3 player, my days are filled with great music, news, and information.
